Materials that build on what heritage language speakers have been exposed to at home, e.g., traditional and pop culture:
We’ve organized the teaching materials I used at Stanford and developed new materials:
- Our culture cafe focuses on Cantonese food.
- Our pop culture courses use materials from movies and songs.
Materials that promote a better understanding of the Cantonese Diaspora, e.g., the history and the present state of Chinatown.
